I wonder if ham is the most important sandwich style meat. It seems so common but i cant deny the lovelyness of some fresh deli ham, extra mayo , mild cheddar with lettuce, pickles and onions on perhaps a marble rye or sourdough cut fresh. :) |

yes, we have nachos in spain, but only since the early 90s, so the name was here much earlier, thats why we dont find it so surprising or funny here the ood is named like the name, not the opposite |

i drink it too, occasionally. Here in Seattle it doesn't have negative connotations. In fact when we are at The Honey Hole (a local bar/sandwich shop with fucking great sandwiches) my friends and I will often exclaim, "Ooh! I'll take a pounder of Stella!" Then this huge bar man says, "3 Stella's.. And do you want to get food?" and I say, "yes, I'll take the wave rider." and then he brings it and we eat and drink in a very positive manner and no mention of beating wives. |

How nice. Here in Ireland, once people have a drink, they usually don't stop until they have: . vomited . started a fight with someone, randomly chosen, on the street . passed out . been rushed to hospital indeed, usually drinking doesn't stop until all four points of criteria have been met |
