It started last year about this time. Went away over summer. And now is back with a vengence- must be a sign of old age.
Anyone suffer from this scourge or know any good cures? I normally don't spend alot of time fretting over my appearance, but I must admit I'm a bit concerned about the possible impending obesity epidemic amongst my bed-but population.

do you have to donate to edit posts? It might be worth it to cover such freudian slips.

xltronic's answer to the edit feature is to simply ridicule someone horribly everytime they make a mistake. after a while you either stop making mistakes or leave.

that's the theory anyway.
some of us are just too shameless and thick to catch the hint.

I can't shave my head- it's got horrible crevasses, dents and such- even more humiliating than the dandruff and typos.

I try not to bitch much. I could be going bald instead. but so far the only hint of advise is alberto basalm (the VO5 hot oil people?)
I don't think you folks realize the seriousness of the situation- all my clothing is black or grey (color blind not Johnnny cash wannabe) and like I said I'm not very attentive of my appearance (set it up in the mirror in the morning and go).
I come home and look like an explosion at a snow-globe factory.

Hmm, my rabbit had bad dandruff and it turned out he had mites. You might want to get yourself checked out. The veterinarian should be able to get you some kind of ointment.

If youre taking hot showers that might be the cause. Try reducing the temperature a bit so its not so hot.

also stop using shampoo and anything else you use to clean your hair (especially anti-dandruff products). They give ur hair a nice soft smooth feel for a few hours, then when ur exposed to weather ur hair gets yuck and u need more, more, more!
big scam

Don't wash your hair with anything other than water. Seriously, I haven't in over 3 years and the amount I have is absolutely minimal (you really have to rub hard to notice any- it doesn't just collect on my shoulders). My theory is that shampoo dries your scalp and the skin then flakes off as dandruff. There's always going to be a very small amount of dandruff (despite what head and shoulders claim), as your body is constantly shedding dead skin: it's just that on your head there's hair to trap it so it collects, rather than falling off straight away as it does on you hands/arms etc.
Also, some "dandruff" you notice may well just be dried gel (if you use it).
