Anyone seen this french slasher? also known as Haute Tension and Switchblade Romance, it is a pretty typical 70's style slasher with a mediocre plot but it's bloody. like really really bloody. like blood splattering the camera bloody. i quite enjoyed it. oh, and it has a lesbian in it and oh, it has oral necrophilia in it so I know at least some of you will be interested. |

I think "switchblade romance" is the american release title. Beware though, The version you want to see is the Uncut, Undubbed French version. I hear that the american version will be a bit watered down and dubbed in english. considering the plot/storyline/twist ending of this film are quite lame, the acting and tension building scenes are very good. You would not want to watch this dubbed as it could render it far less gripping. |

the movie poster there shows one of the makeshift weapons the main heroine uses. it's basically a wooden post with some barbed wire wrapped around it. I always considered board-with-nail-in-it to be the hands down best non-powered melee weapon, but after watching this film, i've had to rethink this. |
