Is it normal to have small SMOKE fits, like you just really whacked out for some reason? It only happens when I try to quit smoking...
I was thinking of buying that gum stuff and the patch and maybe Ziban too...

Yeah like all of a sudden I get in a sort of panic. Then I stop and think "Holy shit whats wrong why am I all up tight?" then I realise I am craving a smoke really bad. It`s fucked up!

i'm just finishing the allen carr stop smoking book. his philosophy is that once you realise you're not giving anything up but a life of cravings and dependence, you can convert your cravings into a super-pleasurable feeling of joy when you realise you're free of 'the dreaded weed'. thus he claims you can actually enjoy giving up smoking. hmmm.
i'm yet to see if his method works, as he is telling me not to smoke my last one till i have finished the book. he keeps repeating himself every 5 pages and it's getting real old, but i'm putting my trust in the old bastard - i shall do as he says. (+ i want another cig)

A guy I know quit smoking after reading that Carr book. He was a human ashtray - I couldn't believe he actually quit. I think his blood was about 10% nicotine by volume.
Not only that but he was in a good mood after he quit, instead of turning into a tightly coiled ball of seething misery and hate like I did when I quit. It turned me into the trent reznors lol.
But anyhoo mister oxygenfad, your experience is pretty standard. It fucks you up emotionally in a big way. You have to keep telling yourself that it's just the withdrawal symptoms. I wonder how many people quit their jobs, get divorced, beat the fuck out of someone etc. etc. when they've just quit smoking.
