"Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze"

was that very good then? I sorta stopped listening to QOTSA
after Nick O was fired and there was that massive argument.
I got more into Mondo Generator.

I love it. Really great rock album. Yet another evolution of
the QOTSA sound.

well.

as qrter said, it's still october yet.

and i'm still discovering records from 2004... if i had
known miss machine by the dillinger escape plan,
rubber factory by the black keys, pigs of the
roman empire
by the melvins & lustmord, talkie
walkie
by air (and some others i've forgot) when i made
a "best of 2004" list, it would have been different than the
one i've made...

now what i can say so far is that 2005 will not have been a
weak year for me; there has been some really excellent
releases. frances the mute by the mars volta would
need a musical atomic bomb to be something else than #1 for
me this year; it would have been best of 2005 and
2004 combined for me, and maybe even 2003 (i know some
people hate it or find it average though)... awesome album.
the craft by blackalicious, which i just received
yesterday (but listened to four or five times already),
could very well be #2. demon days by gorillaz was a
very pleasant surprise; "feel good inc." and "dare" were two
most excellent singles, and the rest of the album was very
good too. general patton vs. the executioners is damn
good. the butcher & the butterfly by queenadreena,
bum raps & love taps by elysian fields, ...and the
ambulance died in his arms
by coil were very solid
releases by very good bands. beck has done better than
guero, but it's very good nonetheless... i'm awaiting
black one by sunno))) (can't wait to get it but it
hasn't been released where i live already, so it seems?!)
and sun baked snow cave by boris & merzbow (if
dronevil by merzbow gets released this year on cd
i'll probably get it as well). and i've just bought
sarah by jude today; haven't listened to it yet but
the first track is a beauty, i have high expectations about
it.

pigs and miss machine are hot album, especially miss
machine!

but frances the mute? shit, that album was so fucking dull
and piss poor, especially when you go to that from
de-loused. the mars volta are quite possibly the worst
jammers ever.

it's strange how frances the mute divides people. ' _ '
i really like it better than de-loused in the comatorium...

miss machine also divided fans, or so i've read; i'll have
to check out the dillinger escape plan's previous releases.
