I finally got to play this game and the graphics are fucking
amazing. IMO they blow Resident Evil 4 (ps2 version) out of
the water. The particle effects, the lighting, underwater
effects, etc are all perfect. The stage is immense and
reminds of when Ocarina of Time came out and I couldn't
believe how huge the outdoors was, only this game is even
bigger. The monsters are fucking huge and you really get a
sense of their massive size when you are playing. I got to
take on 3 of them and it was pretty fun but I do wish there
was more shit to do. At least rent this bitch.

Great game.

ICO is still one of my favorite PS2 games.

looks like i'm about seven months late to the party. bought
it last night and opened it up this morning; proceeded to
play for two hours, murdering two colossi. ate a lizard. i
want to marry this game's atmosphere: the unified world, the
melancholic beauty perpetuating it. most games i forget most
of what i did after i turn off the system, but i've been
thinking about this one all day. so far it's easily one of
my most favourite games ever. this and jet set radio future
have the only video game worlds i'd actually want to live
in.

I still think about this game, many months later. Lots of
images burnt into my mind. I don't play it or anything,
there's little replay value... but I don't need to, the
experiences will remain in my heart... forever.

There really hasn't been anything comparable since. I just
want more games like this.

Oh, I was going to post a topic about this. It's kind of a
slow game story, but after you beat it, there's a long movie
at the end. Real sad, it's the best part. Definetly worth
the money.

"In January 2008, Sony updated its careers section with the
first screenshot of Team ICO's third game headed to
PlayStation 3."

not much of a screenshot, but it does mean they're working
on a new game (sequel? prequel? probs a midquel.)

mm anything would be awesome, it will probably be a third
game in the same universe with very little to do with either
of the two games thus far... that's just speculation, but i
don't think they're going to be releasing Colossus II
anytime soon.

i really wish they'd remake both games for the PS3. SOTC was
so beautiful, but the framerate really suffered at times
(understandably, that pushed the PS2 to 110%)

mm, maybe as a bonus disc dealio or something (it'd probably
be too big a download to put on psn, and not very smart to
release it as a standalone game).
also, i agree with you, BoxBob-K23, that anything will be
awesome. with such talented/inspired people behind the
games, i have no doubt it'll be amazing.
