over something very trivial and i feel really shitty about it. my 3 housemates went to the grocery store without asking if i was coming too (my door was closed). Apparently they assumed i wasn't there, because i had not been making any noise. When they got back, i was in the kitchen, deciding if i should go to my room and deal with the matter later, or stay there, which i did. So then they appeared and i asked with all the sarcasm i could gather 'did you have fun at the store?' and this is when the shit hit the fan. I exploded and yelled at my 2 housemates which also happen to be 2 of my best friends. They didn't understand why i was taking this so seriously and i replied with 'i just dont understand why you simply assumed i wasn't home, or figured it didnt really matter if i just so happened to need to go grocery shopping as well'. Having cooled off now, i realise how utterly perplexed they must have been seeing me freak out like this. Though i still feel i have some very valid points, i can understand why they see it differently. I apologized, and i said i hoped we could all still have dinner together, and then we all just kinda stood there, and the new housemate, who is turkish, said 'lets all have a beer'. I feel shit, and i need to apologize another 50 times, and i wonder if they will accept it, or think i am a mad, evil bastard.. yes i have issues. no i am not always like this. i dont know why i made this thread but please dont hate me for it. |

the best you can do is apologize, and the next time you feel yourself getting worked up in this way, find a more constructive outlet for your repressed anger and spend some time working on the issues that have fueled your irrational and emotionally unhealthy choices. or, you can just release it by making funny remarks on a message board. |

thats the thing. this has happened before, and i saw it coming, yet this time i didnt count to 10, like i have been practicing. the choice was there, and the evil conquered the good. It really was like a little demon telling me to flip out, yet the whole time something good in me said 'calm the fuck down, NOW before you hit someone'. its really fucked up. |

get a punching bag. also, it's not a problem if no-one makes it a problem.. this also goes for the "problem" with telling them about it and stuff like that.. just tell them: "I have NO idea what happened.. something just snapped, and I went crazy. Can I buy you a cookie with pistachio nuts on?" |

when i was in my mid to late teens,i could snap quite easy and did a fair bit of fighting-but alas nowadays id stop people fighting and buy them both a beer. a punch bag is a very good idea-you only need a 2 min workout and youll be as calm as a soft sea breeze. |

I agree with the punching bag. Find a different way to channel that negitive energy into something. Dont feel retarded though. Some people are like this. Everyone is different. I dont care about much myself so we are like opposites here. There are people inbetween and probably people that would have went on a five day killing spree (mostly ninjas). Do you make music? I love infusing my emotions into various sounds. I spend sometimes alot of time on sounds. Its another good alternative. Why do you think you were affected so greatly by this? Surely you could have spoken up when they were there maybe or greeted them? Dont always let them come to you but make the effort from time to time and meet half way :) |

hahaha them fools got off lightly...in my younger days if the people I was sharing my house with didn't just do my shopping for me I used to stab them (with a knife). Having studied people and behaviour for my life I understand what you mean. Exclusion is a hard thing to deal with when it is done by people you care about. |

We all snap from time to time, I find myself bulling someone for no reason apart from the fact that I am tired or in a shitty mood. When I catch myself I start making a joke out of it and allow whoever it is that I have victimised know that I have seen the error of my ways. I genrally don't appologise I say something like, "I can't beleive you havn't told me to fuck off yet." Next time they tell me to fuck off! |
