my brother wants an ipod nano (and a ps3). now if he'd make a "buy me an ipod" site, it's a safe bet people wouldn't donate him the $400, wouldn't it? maybe some people like the absurdity of it and have nothing against ipods actually. think about it, a lot of people like absurdity... buying stupid gadgets because these people like the stupidity/absurdity of it. i have to admit i'm one of them (to some extent; i definitely wouldn't go as far as donating for smashmyipod, i reassure you)... i don't know why. maybe it's the same as humor... maybe it's so we can appreciate the non-absurdity of "good" objects more? doesn't seem very convincing to me. |
