The album before was crappy too. I wont be buying this one
but I think I will go and see them.

actually i find that the new record is pretty fucking good.
i mean it's obvious they've peaked but really, this record
is not bad for a bunch of old farts -- wayyyyy better than
exciter, which i personally thought was a pile of shit.

i think lillian is really standout, john the revelator is
good, nothing's impossible...honestly i like most of the
songs on this record.

I´ve got everything they have released on cd between
81-97... then they lost me. Alan Wilder's departure in 95
was a great loss for depeche mode.
The new album has more of everything I didn´t like on
exciter (the whole new cd sounds like "the dead of night"
from exciter) but Dave Gahan´s song - "Nothing's
impossible" is really good, though he didn't write
completely of his own.

Precious is a quite fun track (but a bit too sweet) in
context of the new album- it is that track who is "playing
the angel" among a bunch of rather noisy and mediocre
fillers... I still keep my eye on some of the remixes. DFA
is on my wishlist for some, much needed, reconstructions of
the new tracks...

"Precious" is a very catchy track, I've listened all the
album and I think it is a decent but simple release, maybe
it will grow in my taste... as usual as all DM albums have
done in the past

I haven't heard this album yet but precious is a really good
song imo.

I'll be downloading it illegally as usual
