England came top of the group last night. I notice too that
America also qualified, but does anyone actually watch
"Soccer" on the other side of the duck pond?

I find watching, reading, or playing sport utterly boring.

I think its important to partake in the national interest.
I'm utterly shite at all sports but when you're with a group
of friends competeing against others, its a good feeling.

I'm generally cynical, but I have my moments.

I love playing football... I use to be a right wing
midfielder or defense

I am very bad really, but I am fast and tall... which is
nice for defense

The trouble is, with many groups of people it's just
unpleasant if you're not very skilled at the game. Every
time you muck up the atmosphere gets worse, and you
eventually just want to bugger off.

That was my past experiences at school P.E lessons, at
least. :)

HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT SPORTS!!!!! Just kidding. I don't
think there is enough sport topics on this board.

Americans don't really catch onto soccer for the same reason
they don't really like hockey. We like our sports with a
lot of scoring instead of 90 minutes of action with one
score. I guess most of us just don't really get it, but I
do like soccer (football) more than probably most
Americans.

I can't get enough American football, I feaking love it and
go to every single Kansas City Chiefs game.

What do you mean there aren't enough sports threads?! I've
seen plenty during my time. And yes i am too lazy to give
you any links.

Americans don't really like football (soccer). However:

FIFA (for people who don't know shit about football FIFA is
the world governing body of football (soccer)) produce world
rankings...the latest top 10 available month (september (for
americans this is the nine month of the year and a plane
crashed into some buildings on the 11th(the day component of
a month) in the year 2001(gregorian calander - look it up))
is as follows.

1: Brazil
2: Holland
3: Argentina
4: Czech Republic
5: Mexico
6: France
7: USA
8: Bespanana (Spain)
9: Portugal
10: Sweden

England appear as 11th
Italy appear as 13th
Chile appear as 76th

Reason...FIFA are muppets.
