Hunter Thompson suicide note

In the new Rolling Stone they published the note Hunter S.
Thompson left for his wife before committing suicide in
February.
It was titled “Football Season Is Over” and reads:

“No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More
Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more
than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun
- for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age.
Relax - This won't hurt.”

Now I have not seen the issue, but read this online....
Either way, it's kinda creepy.

RIP Doc!!!

you know what, that's exactly how I always expected a
suicide note from Hunter S. Thompson to read.

I give it 5/5

I think that was his defence mechanism against people like
you. Seems to have worked a charm.

mine with "the pizza is ready".

That's a bit piss-poor to publish someone's suicide note,
even if it was written like that. Maybe he figured they'd
eventually publish it somewhere anyway and it inspired him
to make it weirder than usual.

Would it be correct to refer to yourself in the past tense
in a suicide note?
