yeah seriously, that has to be some kind of weird british
rumor because I have never once heard an american say
aluminIum.

on the contrary, I've actually seen non-americans on this
messageboard try to say that it in fact was
aluminIum. so maybe "John Cleese" should check his sources.

the word has two correct spellings. i think aluminium is the
brittish spelling.
