I found something really crazy about this track...Personally
I like to turn it up as loud as possible in my
headphones....
Now I know theres NOTHING there, but sometimes you can just
shut your eyes and imagine the perfect ending image for the
album....

BOC Forever!!

tell me nice headphones, please.
and one more thing.
what was that thing with the megabytes of geogaddi? cause
66:06 minutes are about 580 mb. no 6's around.
is it possible that this magic window is some kinda min/mb
freak, i mean not the usual relation between min's and
mb's??
is it technically possible?

The first performance of John Cage's 4'33" created a
scandal. Written in 1952, it is Cage's most notorious
composition, his so-called "silent piece". The piece
consists of four minutes and thirty-three seconds in which
the performer plays nothing. At the premiere some listeners
were unaware that they had heard anything at all. It was
first performed by the young pianist David Tudor at
Woodstock, New York, on August 29, 1952, for an audience
supporting the Benefit Artists Welfare Fund -- an audience
that supported contemporary art.
if your hooked on all this electronica avant guard stuff the
works of classical musician John Cage are something to
listen to in amazement!

According to this page, Gaddi was a biblical character
whose name meant "my fortune". Strange though it may seem
to put together a word from Greek and Hebrew elements,
taking this meaning of Gaddi would give one interpretation
of Geogaddi as "The earth is my fortune".

I did a google search for "greek gaddi" because I knew the
geo- prefix was greek, so I wanted to found out what the
gaddi part meant. I came across a result that contained the
Hebrew definition; so I searched for "gaddi hebrew" just to
check, and that was one of the results.

I'm probably wrong - it seems likely that the whole word is
greek in origin. But it's a nice idea anyway.

Magic window is best on the vinyl, at least you get some
sounds of you put the pickup on it =)
For you who doesn't have the vinyl, there is a relief of two
naked adults and two children. I think its the same symbol
that is on the space-thingie viking(i think its called)
thats floating around in space looking for somebody to pick
it up.
I also found the same symbol on the limited edition cd,
inside the pocket where the cd is located. Meaby there is
one on the regular version too?

I don't know BoC. But their new album seems to be really
good. What does geogaddi sound like? Can you compare it to
some aphex tracks?

Maybe I'll buy it.

Why did you end the album with a track which contains 74
seconds of
total silence, and why the title "magic window" ?

Marcus: A magic window is an odd frequency that has peculiar
effects
on you or your surroundings. That track is not complete
silence.

Yeah I 've bought Geogaddi in HMV today. Also bought a
german bossanova/brazil compilation, it has some scratch or
something on the CD surface, so it must be returned.
I hope Geogaddi is not used as this one. They were wrapped,
so it is a surprise to me. HMV sucks.
