utopia...

i think they should ban all human breeding, and all new
children should be genetically engineered to be attractive,
healthy, and strong, and smart, and all a shade of dark
khaki. all sexual activity should become recreational! and
poor people should be culled, and only allowed to bred
enough to provide janitors and food service providers. the
human population should be reduced to under 500 million
individuals. and the only cloning should be for superstar
freaks like Shaquille O'Neal, Tiger Woods, John Cleese and
Britney Spears. and dogs and cats should not be bred to be
hairless, or have abnormal long hair. and cows and pigs
should be bred to want to be eaten by humans, like that cow
from Douglas Adams. and orangs, chimps, gorillas, and
bonobos will be considered equal but different races, with
equal rights and priviledges.

if we can clone anything organic, could we clone food? or
fibre? things that would help put an end to the injudicious
poverty and starvation afflicting the "third world" -
cloning and GM and modern technology makes the need for
power and money defunct - it's time people started being
human again and told their masters to go fuck themselves

as far as cloning goes i think we will eventually have to
learn to accept it, in a world where frivolous cosmetic
surgery is performed just about as often as any seriously
required surgery it wont be long before cloning becomes the
norm and once the multinational take a hold of it...there's
no stopping it..but what disturbed me was the fact that
these babies are being created specifically so that their
organs/marrow etc can be harvested for their older
siblings..and I saw a rather disturbing parallel with the
story of Muti killings where the childrens limbs etc are
being used for perceived medicinal purposes...

yes i agree we WILL have to accept it someday..

when, EVER, in the course of history have we decided not to
use a new technology?

its only a matter of time
