I have this problem with my player at home. It was
region-cracked, but went tits up about a month ago - stopped
playing region two's, would only play region ones. I
re-entered the crack and nothing happened, it just says
"check disk" when anything but a one is put in. I also
noticed that now when I turn the player on and it goes to
the AV channel that the picture is displayed NTSC style. It
plays ones fine, no problem, even copied region ones, but
nothing else. ANY ideas?

sounds like the software is fucked. normally you'd reinstall
the software, but how the hell do you do that on a dvd
player?

I think I'm going to put it in a sandwich and feed it to my
fat ass collegues.
