are there any ? supatrigga is kinda neat but it's sometimes
really difficult to control imho.

Supatrigga is supposed to be difficult to control, isn't it?
Isn't that the point behind a randomizer?

isn't this just a tracker that uses loops instead of
onehits?

well, its impossible to control it, because its a
randomizer.

the best way to use this plugin, is to put it on your track,
and record 2-5 mins of audio.

open up the audio, and cut it up, taking the pieces that
sound good to you, and rearrange it, in a more structured,
controlled way.

theres no such thing as a plugin that automatically gives
you awesomeness... theres tools that help, but in the end,
you still gotta put the effort in yourself.

right - but in a live situation these small pieces of
software give you much room to improvise at once!

there is a vst effect version of devine machine - lucifer.
just digging it now as i speak - it rocks horribly !!

thats not improvising... its randomizing. HUGE difference

not really - i mean you cannot bind the several effects to
every key on your keyboard and play everyone exactly like
you want

ableton at the mo

then you could cut up the audio from the supper trigger, and
throw all the chunks onto a channel in live, and trigger
various samples yeah? have a repeating loop of the original
drums... and trigger the suppertrigga'd stuff manually.

no?

i have 4 effects at once, funnily all freeware except ohms
delay.

i route livecut first, then supatrigger, then some amazing
freeware modulator, then ohm delay. and when ever i do some
crazy effects i just resample it then use that as my main
beat. Sometime i put another livecut after the dealy so i
can fuck around with the delay as well. sounds very cool.

sounds neat

the best thing is live just turns on and off your vst's,
which i assign to keys on my keyboard. theres no slight
delay like when you put the same effect within a cubase
channel.

exactly what i want to do. but in ableton you just have like
on/off buttons. that would be a cool feature.

hm - lucifer does it for me... but i cannot find a cracked
version anywhere... jesus.

Chain Suppa Trigga to your reverb or deelay effect for a
neat subtle stuttering ambience. i did that in my 'smoking
blind' track which caused much brew ha ha amongst my 'fans'

use the instant on off switches live to get instant
repeating, reversing etc... manipulate it with your knob so
people can see you are doing something. I saw a guy win a
laptop battle doing this and which was pretty much his
favorite trick.

i bet you are all excited about these groundbreaking new
ideas, especially the bit about using your knob on stage.

I've used this one for beats R-mix and this one for
drones, ambient sounds, etc. Polyfractus

It is true though that it is good to get huge performance
takes with as many variations as possible. Different fx
combinations, routing combinations, resample then resample
again etc. Then take that and edit it down to the best
stuff and arrange it ;)

As zeus said, randomization is not improvisation. You are
doing improvised producing, but the musical elements are out
of your hands. Why don't you just work with a live
musician?

Good musicians are always looking for seasoned producers to
work with.

the lucifer thing has one part that nothing else has - this
"incarn" mode. i mean you can actually completely
restructure the loop on the fly. massive

there is a program written by DFX call rearrange. Its not
hosted anywhere on their site, even in the museum for some
reason, but I have used it before, and know it exists.
Its a m-a-s-s-i-v-e processor hog. But its functional. If I
can find it in my archives I will get it to you.
