I always hear a descrption of bands like Autechre or other
artists from this music along the lines of the one in the
subject line. Why do all these reviewers say that? I can
only listen to Confield or LP5 if my nod my head to the
beats. Even Ep7 is really dancey. I think.

because reviewers are usually old gits who sit in an office
all day listening to Smooth FM in the middle of a large
metropolis and have no concept of what this genre of music
is about. They listen to a few tracks off the records and
them write what they feel then get paid for it; they only
care about the money.

well most of them anyway

sure you can dance to autechre, but it's rather a slow
dance, unless you're mental and dance disregarding the beat.

my neural synapses.

I honestly actually find it easier and more fun to dance to
stuff like Druqks and Draft 7.30 then the regular stuff.
Well I say "dance"....

I call all this sort of music Beatz + Atmosphere x Self
conciously not doing a danceable dance track
or
BASCNDADDT for short.

no, no I realised what he was saying, I just chose to
interpret it as literally as possible.

Well I'm probably wrong about most music reviewers. I'm just
a cynical bastard really when it comes to things like that.
