I've long since accepted the fact that i will probably
never be able to make a living making music. But i keep
doing it because i enjoy it. if i ever stop enjoying it,
i will quit too.

I'm glad Skink didn't quit though. His music is honestly
good and I reckon he could do well.

Skink!

You've got an album out, and it's a good one, so I really
think you should re-consider. I've had times when I felt
like quitting because everything I made sounded like shite
to my ears, but then there's moments of wonderful
inspiration, and times when you're in excited good lovely
love with the music making process, so....I don't know. I
think it'd be a great shame if you stopped forever (but I
know you won't do that, because you're too good for that.)
Remember, Some projects might come your way. It definately
helps motivation if you can get your stuff noticed by other
musicians or even film directors or installation artists, as
there's something definate to work towards (and sometimes,
money.)

Don't give up, sir Skinky!

Oh, right, I feel most utterly foolish now. It was here at
the top of the message-board so I thought...never mind.
Whoops.

Well, i always have these mental foibles. However these days
i can't even think of doing anything else. So not to worry.

i remember this old thread.

omg have I quit making music? I haven't written a new track
in months. I just don't have time or much desire to do it
anymore. i still practice with my band on sundays, but that
isn't quite the same as actually composing my own stuff. i
keep waiting for something to inspire me but it just ain't
happinin'. maybe i'm to old. no. no. i'm gonna do it.
i'm gonna write another track. starting tomorrow. or maybe
thursday. well, by this weekend anyway.
