I read Amy Kadmon, if that's the one you meant. Are you trying to become a professional writer or something? I see what you mean by this being a "character study" or however you described it. It seems like practice in fabricating a real thing from mere imagination and is very successful in this regard. There is lots of subtle details about her that make her seem real rather than imagined by a writer. The only thing I don't really like is that the content is too every-day normal, but this is only a matter of my personal preference. I just like weird stuff. What would have been really cool... is if the story went like it did but then totally revealed some unexpected twisted demented pathology in her mind near the end. Like something extremely wicked she did that she mentions.. burying her grandfathers decapitated head in her backyard or something.. especially since she stated others think her thoughts are weird a couple times. |

it really felt like it was coming from the mind of an eleven year old girl. there were a couple sentences that kind of brought it back to a writer for me, but hey i've never been nor am i an eleven year old girl. nice work. p.s. not to try and sway the topic, but have you seen or played the demo of shadow of the collosus? |

wow, terrific comments. thanks w M w and curb. w M w: in the first draft it begins to venture into an incredibly strange wonderland type of story, but i found the writing dropped in quality quite rapidly as a result. i'll have much stranger stories up this year as consolation. curb: thanks for the kind words. and yeah, i've been following that game since it was first announced, since i'm a *huge* fan of ico. shadow is one of the few gaming exceptions that i'll allow myself to play when it's released. it looks totally, um, colossal. |

This is like ambient writing, and though I don't like ambient music all that much, this, as something completely different, is great! if you ever get someone interested in making a short movie of any of your stories, let me know! (also, as traditions go, I HAVE to tell you that I love the design of your site, and you have to forward it to the guy who did the design, and reply to me "yeah, you say that every time, and I forward it to the guy who did it every time, and he's happy" or something...) |
