Anyone have any info on what time they are playing. I know
doors are open from 11pm but i'm travelling back to
Birmingham after and wondered how much of a silly idea it is
:)

I am going there too. I invited a lot of friends, before I
realised that most of the other artists are spewing noise at
us (that is, if their past releases are anything to go by.)
I just hope they don't all leave before the mighty Autechre.
:-S

It would be dissapointing to have to experience Autechre on
my own.

You should be going yourself! Lp5 is nothing compared to
their live stuff.

Wow, these shows really are late. Squarepusher started
after midnight in Austin and I thought that was pretty late.
I guess it's only by comparison because there was another
time a couple friends talked me into going to see Taking
Back Sunday, but we got caught in traffic and the ENTIRE
show, all three bands, had finished by the time we gotr
there.. and that was like.. 9:30. It was unbelievable.

Autechre started awfully late too as I recall. probably
around midnight, I cannot remember exactly.

haha i went in the end :p

If it wasnt for Autechre and the dj before them.,..the whole
night would have been shite. Some of the crap that was put
on before - jeez!

The Dj before Autechre was a tight mixer and his selection
pulled some classics out. I've never heard "House Nation"
blasting out for years!

As for Autechre. Same setup as earlier in the year but the
set has mutated nicely. I saw them in SE1, Manchester and
Nottingham this year and found that the melodies and
non-beat sounds were lost. This time everything was mixed
nicely BUT it just wasnt LOUD enough. Maybe the Manchester
show spoilt me because i left that gig with parts of
internal organs dragging behind!

I had to attempt to drive to Brum after and made as far as
Northampton before crashing out at the service station for a
few hours.

Def too old for this late night stating crap :)

yeah you invited a lot of your friends but you forgot to
tell me so we could book our tickets as a group, not cool
CS2x -_-

the extra £5 postage and packaging was killer and as a
result of this and the lateness with which I heard about it
I couldn't afford to go. Sickening.

It was amazing. Autechre were absolutely fucking
increadable.

And DW, someone else ordered my (and everyone else's)
tickets.

The first few acts were crap, but the DJ and Autechre more
then made up for that. It was a really fun, friendly night.

..of course it wasn´t "all anlogue" (which I think you
know). Elektron Machinedrum is really digital... but then
again after hearing the soundboard rec I wouldn´t be
surprised if they got any analogue rack synth hidden there
somewhere - there are some really analogue-sounding sounds
in there!
