somewhere on the forum it is said that the 3.97 will be the
new "recommended" version of lame, instead of 3.90.3 which
is the current measuring pole.

anyways, we're talking about a bunch of audiophile geeks.
they know what they're talking about, and they're good at
talking about ants as if it were elephants.
