The best way I could put it, is a lot of people who make IDM have very poor musical education, and usually only stress the technical part of sound design and audio processing. On one hand you have very sophisticated DSP, but on the other hand, most melodies and arrangements are done in a very childish and pure manner, creating a strong cohesion in the music, while creating a dynamic foil of itself. |
