Sometimes I fall asleep while listening to an album when I
am lying on my bed, but usually i sleep in silence (except
the sound of my fridge). What is your habit ?

I usually put some ambient stuff on. if I'm in the mood I'll
make a huge playlist incase I wake up in the middle of the
night, cause it's pretty disorienting when the music sneaks
it's way into the semi-awaken dream.

Radio works aswell, preferably some talk-stuff.

i occasionally put on something such as confield or saw2 to
sleep, but i much more often have to turn on a movie or tv
show, then turn my back to the tv and fall asleep that way.

Bill Laswell - City of Light
Steven Stapleton & David Tibet - The Sadness of Things
Nurse With Wound - Man With a Woman Face

I once or two fell asleep with shit radio program "max de
fun" playing, and then slept from midnight to 6, while shit
RnB and stuff vomiting in my headphones.
Fortunately, I didn't care.

I listen to music. And when I say listen I actually mean
listen. I can't sleep with 'backgrround music', I have to
want to listen to it and pay attention. It stops me thinking
about stuff and I get to sleep soonerr.

sometimes i do, sometimes i don't.

i'll put on anything, doens't matter to me.

i can not have the tv on, there's an annoying really
very high pitch tone or sound that they emit when they are
on and it bugs the fuck out of me if i'm anywhere in a house
and someone turns a tv on i know it because of that reason
alone.

i usually sleep in silence. i've tried sleeping to
autechre's "confield" which was odd, and i tried sleeping to
squarepusher "selection sixteen" but i was woken up by track
13 - tom jenkinson, you asshole with that loud fucking
trupmet.

I like to put on the classical music station or npr at very
low volume. So that the fainest mumbles or violins peak
through the intermittent static.

I find it hard to go to sleep without music,

I usually drift off to cocteu twins, coil, saw II, or oval.

I find the silence really uncomfortable and unbearable

when my roommate is away, yes, sometimes I leave some music
playing quietly. Most calm tracks are selected. But in
general I don't like sleeping with music turned on, cause it
takes some attention and it's becomes harder to fall asleep.

I often put music like Converge on, prrobably the loudest
music I own, but like I say, it rreally gives me something
to listen to. Keep my mind off

even sitting in my room, if there's no music on I get really
really edgy,

um,, I'm not sure how to explain the needing it to sleep
thing, but like, I need the rhythm to lull and 'comfort' me
into slumber, I need the music to focus on so that I can
drift away, (otherwise I end up thinking heaps and staying
up all night)

also, I can't go to sleep to anything that has any real
interesting or technical things happening, I can't stop
concentrating on the music and I can't fall to sleep because
of it.

I'm the same, only ambient music is farr too easy to
ignorre, and so I ignorre it and starrt thinking again.

It sounds mental, but my dad said to me once 'You didn't
half get yourrself into some states when you werre a kid, on
the night'

I'd forrgot, but he was rright, I used to crry myself to
sleep 3 orr morre nights a week thinking about the most
awful things.

Never, I could never fall asleep with music going. It won't
let me. I can't read with music on, either, my eyes skip
around the page and I can't focus. I can post on
