So it's not an avi or mpg?

I know that on a PC you can mount a disc image to a virtual
drive. I assume there must be a way to do that on a Mac. Do
a google on Mac Virtual Drive or something.l

yes you can, if it is a disc image just mount the image and
hey presto.

if it is a VIDEO_TS folder, you can actually open the folder
from within the DVD Player application.

other than that, i would suggest VLC as vlari has already
done so

just in case you don't know:

if the DVD is a disc image (.dmg, or .iso) you should be
able to just ctrl+click on the file, and then choose open
with, and there should be an item there called
DiskImageMounter.

also if you have Toast installed you should be able to mount
any kind of disc image

:)

Well unrar it and see that the files are. I'm assuming
they'll be disc images like .cue, .bin, .iso etc.

ahh, sounds like you'll have to extract the RAR files

it may end up spitting out a VIDEO_TS folder, or it might be
an .iso file

or it could be a lightly feathered giraffe
