[spam] 20 foot surge

New song by me named after but not inspired by the 20 foot
surge wave that attacked New Orleans. Surge waves are
ferocious. Tell me what you think!

Honest opinion. It is fucking shit. Also title is stupid
especially when taken in the context of the track sound.

If you listen closely, there are sounds of poor black people
being oppressed by oceans for political reasons played
backwards.

I really tried but anything like that probably got lost
amongst the completely predictable strings, effects and
dull, poorly programmed, beats.

Sorry but I really don't like this. Sorry.

You say surge waves are ferocious. This track isn't
ferocious. It's more like being told off by a budgie.

I'm sorry. I'll make something more unpredictable next time.
I should've been thinking "tornado" instead of "hurricane".

It sounded as if it was made using General Midi, and
anything made using general midi is handicapped by the fact
it is going to sound like ... General Midi. That's a shame,
because there were bits of it I quite liked - obviously the
structure and the music itself sounds amateur, but some of
it was quite charmingly eccentric in that way that only MIDI
files can be.

I just tried to remove this from my audioscrobbler page but
I can't. Shame.

Anyway, I notice you actually have quite a lot of music in
there including a promo. How?

There is no promo. The label thing on audioscrobbler just
asked for an album name so I gave it one. The music was made
on Reason with sound banks I downloaded from the internet. I
don't have cubase and a lot of expensive hardware -- I do
what I can with what I have. I don't think it sounds THAT
bad though. Damn.

I was joking about the whole hurricane New Orleans thing. Of
course the track isn't ferocious. I just said surge waves
are ferocious for the hell of it. I didn't think people
would read so much into the the title.

And giginger, you're concerned about other people seeing
that file on your audioscrobbler page? God forbid should it
taint your flawless reputation as someone with the ultimate
taste in music. Sorry if I took that comment the wrong way,
but it seemed to be written in a way meant to offend me.

There is a whole world of wonderful SoftSynths out there.
And if you don't like them, there's a whole world of eFfects
out there, waiting to manipulate and rebuild.
