That's cute and useful. I'll implement it into my
vocabulary. Good job, roygbivcore.

there's already a word for it.

it's called being "groggy". this word is in the dictionary,
it isn't colloquial.

not to ruin your big party or anything but.. morning jumbles
my arse

offline laniatus from United States on 2005-09-02 09:01 [#01713235]

Morning jumbles just sounds cute, and groggy sounds...ugly.

offline redrum from the allman brothers band (Ireland) on 2005-09-02 09:03 [#01713238]
Points: 12878 Status: Addict | Followup to laniatus: #01713235

normal people are ugly in the morning. we don't live life in
a hollywood movie, or dawson's creek or some shit

therefore the word's just perfect. i like it.

morning jumbles sounds like something from sesame street.

offline ToXikFB on 2005-09-02 09:03 [#01713239]
Points: 4414 Status: Lurker

its more of an expression really... "ugh, bollocks"

offline laniatus from United States on 2005-09-02 09:04 [#01713242]
Points: 408 Status: Lurker

I love sesame street. And I look like ass in the morning.
But I don't have to let my vocabulary sound like ass too. So
morning jumbles it is.

offline uzim on 2005-09-02 09:05 [#01713243]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

yeah : )

but anyway "groggy" and "morning jumbles" are both much
nicer than the stupid french colloquial expression for that,
"la tête dans le cul".

(meaning literally "head in the ass".)

offline redrum from the allman brothers band (Ireland) on 2005-09-02 09:05 [#01713244]
Points: 12878 Status: Addict | Followup to laniatus: #01713242

you reply really quickly, are you sitting there with your
finger holding down F5 or something? scary shit

I'd prefer my vocabulary to sound like "ass" than sound like
i'm living my life in sesame street.

when you wake up in the morning and youre completely
covered in crumbs because you ate biscuits in bed the
previous night watching Trisha on sign zone. sometimes when
you sleep in the nip the crumbs get in all the crevices.

thats called The Morning Crumbles

fucking hell. when I get up in the morning and feel groggy
and someone would come up to me and say "ooh.. having the
morning jumbles?" I would punch them squarely in the face.

I like Morning Jumbles, it'd be handy if I was, and this is
by no means a criticism, addressing a child under the age of
5, and perhaps I will use it as a euphemism for a hangover,
as, over time, my son grows and learns to be disgusted by
his own father.

"morning jumbles" sounds like the type of people who like to
go to bootfairs during the early hours of the day.

Sounds similar to 'morning wood' or 'morning thunder'.

Perhaps you could submit this term to Urban Dictionary.

depends on the mood...

after hard drinking = "crudísimo" or "de la verga"

regular = "apendejado"

i feel like in sesame street... *shivers*

a biscuit in america get's covered in butter and smothered
in gravy. it can either be served with chicken (usually
fried) or breakfast sausages with extra chri5py hashbrowns
and eggs!
