Its good. If I didn't have 20 other pieces of gear that I
had on my agenda first, I would probly get it.

my friends got it (with real money!!) and they say its the
best shit that ever happened to them.

and the tracks theyve made have improved 100% from it. they
sound so much more pro, because the sounds are awesome and
since youve legally bought it, you'll be able to download
loads of new patches and synths from reaktors site.

It's good. I didn't spend money I don't have on it. Haven't
used it for a bit because I've been learning another program
but I'll get back to it soon. If I like it enough I'll buy
it.

have paid for it since version 3 - version 5 is pure class
tbh - if you've got the cpu room its about the only bit of
software vst kit you'll need - its honestly that good and
that versatile

The more I have used these new fangled packages the more I
want to make simple music. With Reaktor 5 everyone can make
a generic ae style sound that lacks everything that makes ae
special. The downside of this is that anyone who could
match ae is being lost in a deluge of mediocre tripe.

you mean with vectory? yeah mabey. but use sine beats, that
thing is very good, you can make the most amazing basslines
with it. its just a different way of looking at the way in
which you can construct music. I HATE when you press a
button and things go whoosh pish all around you, i wipe out
most presets on everything i have, but if you strip down any
single reaktor ensemble theres always some amazing jazz you
can do with it

Yes, but then you get someone using a default Vectory thing
and everyone jumping on it as though it is the single most
excellent peice of sonic mastery ever produced.

so? its no different from every single house song ever using
909 samples. As long as it sounds good im not fussed. and in
most cases ultra pretentious bellends would want to make
there own structured cut up jabberwhacky loop anyway, even
if it sounds exactly the same.

You are missing my point, but oh well.

Thats why I am sticking to hardware now. Its more of a
challenge to make something consistent that can hold
someones attention, than something that has some stupid
random change every 2 beats.

This is exactly what I'm talking about in my spam-thread.
I fully agree.

very well thanks. Been buying a house, going on holiday,
getting married and stuff. Just started writing new
electronic stuff which is the icing on the cake. Hows the
magazine?

This is the problem with a genre where the worth of a
musician is not in himself but in his toys - anyone can use
those toys. And it's more fun to play with toys than to
listen to someone else doing it.
