haha!
yeah, I may have to do that, but I'll download mp3s instead as I already own the release, which makes it not illegal.

it's one of my favourite, if not MY favourite afx release. sounds like more melancholic, several track sound like when you're getting better after a hard time. alberto balsalm and mookid are personal favourites, first track too. i just skip ventolin because i have enough with my own tinnitus.

they only say
"warplp 30"
also, the one I figured as side a comparing with samples is one of those "floaters," and it doesn't turn at an even speed, so it changes pitch continually.. anyone know how to make the record NOT do that? I've had others do it, but they were 12" singles and they mostly kept up with the platter, but this one is almost hovering over it...

there should be a little space after WARPLP30 where the side is written. Atleast that's how it is on my copy.
So, the first record is concave? What I do in these cases (Mostly with 7"), is put the rubber-mat on the platter and play, that should give enough friction to let it play without the famous BoC-effect. I haven't found a good way to increase the friction on my slipmats (don't think I want to either)

ah, ok.. I hope I still have that rubber mat then... if not, I'll devise something... my first "slipmat" was a pillow-wrap or whatever that is called... it worked amazingly good... heh.
thanks!

no rubber slipmat, but I found a solution, which may also be of use to you if you don't want to have to switch the slipmat all the time... I just put a piece of folded paper under one side of the slipmat.. don't need much to keep it in place, and it's a lot easier than switching the slipmat every time...
(my original question was concerning a more general solution to the problem, which would've meant I wouldn't have had to change anything every time, which is why I didn't think of something like this before.. that'll show me for trying to untangle the complex without wanting to deal with the parts)

i love majority of the album. the album seems to (purposelly) drifts off into a harsher place in the middle, only to return with the beautiful melodies and sounds at the end. i still enjoy those tracks in the middle, but whenever i listen i tend to skip a track or two and try to keep the album as pleasant as possible. mmm.

the front cover of this album is terrifying on Vinyl the Hair and outline of the head and neck which is drawn in black or dark brown starts to loook like a mAssive black hole with the grinning aphex face coming out of it and the eyes look REAL like they are really staring out at you from behind a cartoon face.. dont have it around when tripping its bad news seriously kids. or is it just me? or was it meant to be drawn like that cos when i showed it to other people they could see it too its a scary thing
to answer your question i think the sides are represented by whatever pic is on the label astheyre all different and you just remember it but i cant remember which one is which now so maybe not

"Now, lets discuss Aphex Twin - ...I Care Because You Do"
I Care Because You Do is a great album. It was actually tied-for-first with RDJ album as the first Aphex album I bought. There are some all-time favorite songs on there, including Mookid, Avid Acrid Jam Shred, Alberto Balsam, and Start as You Mean to Go On. I'll have to put this on today, haven't listened to it in quite a while.
