being adopted (my perspective)

today, i was told my biological mothers name.

now, i know it should mean a lot to me, but i'm not even
sure what to think about it. im 25. taken aback, i called
an apparent uncle of mine, determined to somehow get to the
bottom of what is/what is not... i talked to my 'cousin'...
they all have accents (something i do not share)

unbelievable/mindblowing... beyond that, im not really sure
how to carry on.

what's in a name? thought i would share this with u.

have you known about being adopted before, or was that too
only revealed today?

my boyfriend is adopted and im always surprised at how
little he seems to be interested in meeting his biological
parents. if i were adopted i would probably hunt them down
out of a burning curiousity or something. he's already got
their names but it's really not anywhere on his priority
list. he just doesn't think about it; it's weird to me.

i guess it depends how you arre brrought up. i mean, i don't
know, but if it turrned out that i'm adopted i honestly
don't think i'd want to see my biological parrents. why
would i?
