I went on a trip somewhere outside the New England area, which was a first for me. I recommend going north if any of you ever decide to take a trip to the second largest island in Hawaii known as Oahu, it is much better than going west, or south. East is OK. Also, do not plan your trip towards the end of August because that's when the American Legion annually visits and takes up every single hotel room on the island forcing you to spend the night dodging wandering crazy people in random parks. Ewa Beach is a ghetto/third-world trash bin; not everything labeled "beach" is actually a beach (tip #34.) Take the bus to the northern shore, do not rent bicycles and try to peddle up numerous volcanoes for 6 hours eventually giving up and having to separate from your friends in order to get back. 98% of the population is Japanese tourists. Sunset Beach is actually a beach and it is the coolest one I've ever seen, or imagined. Ten-foot surf is very fun. Spraining your ankle as a result is worth it. |
