let's see what this sounds like.

quite a big .zip I must say, and the mirror was fairly slow.
this might take some hours...

just a tip: don't include four different formats of the
same album in one zip file, please. if you really think
it's imperative that i have 192kbps mp3, ogg and VBR, at
least organize them so that they're not all in one directory
like this. a little organization would really go a long
way.

oh, haha. i was expecting either a large number of tracks or
a few in flac. 4 different rips of the same tracks. it's a
bit redundant I agree on that.

180mb down

organise that release myself, the label did it. thanks for
the hint, i'll forward it to planear.

The first and last track were ace (as in should have been a
single or a 12").
Jungla 1 had a really good build, and took turns i never
would have expeced it to. The trashy distortion introduced
at 4:20ish was awesome.

Rbux had a good walking-home-slightly-drunk-in-the-rain
feeling. The low-end clipping should really bother me, but
it somehow it works within the confines of the song.

I wasn't too keen on the rest, to be honest. Allright, but
nothing that really grabbed me by the proverbial balls.

Thanks for the listen, mate.

you should buy a better internet.

or just d/l track by track, that should go faster actually.

sorry again guys for that multi-format and huge-as-fuck zip,
i've mailed imdex about this, hope it gets fixed with
planear's next releases.

vlari : and thanks for your listen and comment, too. "rbux"
is one of those lost and found tracks - i lost the initial
project/samples and i managed to save the mp3 of them. and
i'm still quite shit at mastering, so you must forgive that
"low-end clipping".

"I wasn't too keen on the rest, to be honest"

- well, that's more or less my attitude/goal/whatever with
this compilation : to get people/someone interested with
one, two or three tracks. you don't have to love the whole
compilation : if you find a few tracks that you like and
save - that's great. cause i like them too :)

it was real pain to choose tracks for an hour-long cd. i'm
not sure if i achieved any continuity between them. hooray
for those who manage to listen to the whole album at one go.

is not easy for me explain in english :)

ok, i try, i not put all formats, other file types and
resolutions was generated automatically by the server when i
accept the ulpoad (is not cool?) other options and formats
can be better for somebody that prefer .ogg blah blah blah,
the "Whole directory" seems very big this time, is the first
time that i look a so big ziped album, maybe contain all the
formats and resolutions (if is... that is stupid, sorry i
dont know)

i cant fix a contribution when is up, but i can talk with
Simon C.
he maybe can delete the contribution, and can up the album
again, and only with the mp3 (192kbps) files when i accept
the contribution the next time...

but just download the single tracks mengs! (right click/save
as) :D

please undestand that 98% of releases on archive.org are
like this, in this all formats/resolutions, is not a bad
thing, is normal.

but i have no problem about talk to Simon and change that,
let me know please if you prefer only the single tracks,
ok?

and thanks Obi for your music, you know, i'm without sound
in home, but waiting for listen... (this sounds complex)
hahaha!

write me Obi!

thanks for the explanation, amigo ! :) no problem really.

yeah, i think that people [me included] are used to finding
only mp3/only one format in a zip, so fixing it would be
very convenient for most people.

live version would last 10 minutes at least

jungla 1 engaged me the second I got tranced into the spacy
reverbed melody complimented with a great old school beat
(glitchy twist omg @ 4.15 <3) Nice use of the flanger and
great ending! battle0 was great. Lots of changes and
buildups, fav was @ 2.58! biba reminded me of a secret sonic
level where you run through translucent space slides
collecting hella coin. bociek had a tranquil yet distant
feeling, nice for a dim lit modern lounge. Some bits I could
do without, they didn't coincide with the great great chimy
melody. boom had a fairly good beat, I've just heard this
sort of stuff too much. The background synth was a great
though. etiop, relaxing bliss for slow times. harp, nice
mood but perhaps a better ambient beat to guide it,
everything but the harp and synth seemed rather rushed to be
honest. Still enjoyable, and special in its own way. ifekts,
didn't care for this one, sorry. Lack of twanging and
transforming samples, they sounded very preset. kainind,
2.45 and onward was spectacular! Everything before it you
could do without. mutant koto was promising from the
beginning, but didn't go anywhere I would have wanted it to,
except till 2.53 which was great. little duck, nothing
special but you put some great ideas into it. q64, again,
nothing very interesting. uorsou otemn is a great little
ambient piece, made me think of a parallel world where it
was demented discount shopping mall music. Bland
expressionless people looking in a meat section and deformed
children trying on cheap clothes. nitvisn would have been
perfect if you only kept out that annoying preset sound
effect that comes in @ 2.44. vies, alien
soap opera music. rbux, awesome sounds mean awesome moods
and this one was '!emosewa'. Well done man.

thank you Gwely, awe-some review ! i can't say this much
about Digital Mantra's "Montrique Viral Session" - but i can
tell you it's in my playlist after the first listen and i
just really like it ! i can hear lots of work in those
tracks. good idea with that continuity and flow - soft
transitions between tracks

I listened to the first 3 tracks some time ago, and after
hearing the first one I felt encouraged. Now I fell even
more encouraged. Listening to "Biba" now, good, dense beat,
what synth did you use on this?

the original project track for "biba" is one of my "lost
tracks" i'm afraid - i've tried to find it a second ago. but
the synth is, most probably, BB303i2

thanks for listening.
