I don't know if this has been posted yet, but he died yesterday. One of the most important people to electronic music, he helped change the way people see synthesizers as an instrument, and also changed the way synthesizers are designed, taking synthesizer culture from various basement hobby projects into serious business. Music wouldn't be the way it is today without him, underground or mainstream.
