I don't know if this has been posted yet, but he died
yesterday. One of the most important people to electronic
music, he helped change the way people see synthesizers as
an instrument, and also changed the way synthesizers are
designed, taking synthesizer culture from various basement
hobby projects into serious business. Music wouldn't be the
way it is today without him, underground or mainstream.

Yes, we now just have to wait for Judith Bontempi.

ANALOG ANGEL :: The Life and Times of Bob Moog

"...Moog and his band of merry machine-makers
have given us a legacy of amazing and fun musical
instruments -- one which now has an analog angel in
heaven, watching from the cleanest, white Moog
Modular rig ever imagined..."

He gave birth to so much no wonder his brain blew up.
