it sounds pretty cheesy to me. like Michael Nyman on a bad
day.

the amount of reverb doesn't help either.

Comments:

Feedback's just the one word.
I dislike minimalist music so I won't be downloading this.

what makes it cheesy? timbre, key, arrangement?

I wasn't really feeling it and the reverb definitely doesn't
help. The rhythms are attached to the meter and give barely
any interaction, the notes sound pretty consonant which
again gives little interest. Compare this to something like
Opening from Glassworks by P. Glass and i'm sure you'll see
how working with interesting rhythms can help.

in a small part because of the reverb, I think, but mostly
because there's no tension there.

it sort of moves gently along, but isn't very beautiful
although I get the feeling it wants me to think it's
beautiful - if that makes any sense.

it needs some groove, some balls.

so its superficial then? as in its just pretending to have a
a richness or depth that it could potentially have?

it's like a girl who dresses up like a Barbie doll and puts
on the sweetest perfume in existence and walks around like
the girliest girl ever - because she thinks that's what boys
like.

I haven't listened to it! I just don't like to see people
disheartened by negative feedback :) I might give it a
listen in a bit... so much stuff to hear...
