ok ok, aside from physical things that wake you up...why do
you get up in the morning as in whats your motivation to
keep doing it? i feel like that dude from office space
lately...

reminds me of my saying "what's the point in going to sleep
if you have nothing to wake up for"

you know we spend 1/3rd of our lives pretty much dead (in
bed). people are so scared of death but really you die
everyday when you lie down and doze off. death is the same
but just not ever waking up. not so scary. - sorry slightly
off topic.

in regard to what you're saying, well, i do feel the same.
there is never an answer but it can be changed. the way we
live is all pretty shit and boring so why not change your
environment? change your job? change your friends? whatever
really.

i find reading philosophical stuff helps with life as it
changes the way you view things.

the guilt of staying in bed after 4pm gets me out of bed.
also to check my emails and eat.

i am not working at the moment, so i get up when i like.

I read somewhere, the thing Americans are afraid of the
most, is speaking in public, the second most popular answer
was death?

sleeping is great. waking up less great but not the end of
the world - once your up its okay. usually when i dont want
to get up i have a count down in my head and quickly jump
out of bed with a giant roar.

i don't mind speaking publicly so long as i have something
to say...important, not trying to sell shit to people...you
know like somebody set us up the bomb...and or all your base
are belong to us

I've also read somewhere, the reason you have an erection in
the morning is because your body is doing a kind of 'virus
check'. From another source it was said to help you from
falling out of bed. I think it's niether to be honest.

Take up a dangerous hobby. The (very real) fear of
death/injury will make the rest of your waking hours seem
more important and will ironically increase your survival
instincts, instilling a sense of meaning into your life.

i'd say that sleeping is qutie the opposite of death, as
during death we decay and degrade, but during sleep we
rebuild and regenerate.

i've experienced some of my most extreme emotions during
sleep, sometimes i even think i learn in my sleep!

thecrimsonguard, it seems like you're looking for the
meaning of life. to me the meaning lies in the search,
rather than the result.

i don't have a motivation.
i don't really need one either - i'll wake up anyway.

my source indicates that it has something to with the blood
leaving your head during sleep and going into the penis. my
recollection is somewhat vague though.

i'm speaking in terms of the lack of consciousness. i'm not
denying dreams etc. but most of the night is spent (in your
mind) in a dead-like state. your body however is alive as
ever.

i hope to have an answer to this question soon.

i'm going back to school after 2 years of absence. maybe
i'll get off my ass and excercise since i am getting chubbed
after returning to eating meat. i broke my collarbone in a
rather bad car accident almost 2 months ago and it's healed
enough for me to go running.

crimsonguard, what are you currently doing
work/school/life-wise?
