My favourite is Maribou Stork Nightmares, all of his stuff
is a good read though, i enjoy the slang, and just the
general hillarity of his writing.

anyone seen The Acid House films, The Granton Star Cause is
a classic, funny as fuck.

I am not a fan of Irvin Welsh, if you have a burning desire
to read about drug culture read William Burrows, much
better.

010101;
Burrows as in Naked Lunch and the cut up books and that,
it's too much for me.
he IS the ultimate blowout junkie though! i'll give him
that, Hunter S Thompson too.

maribou stork nightmares is fuckin wicked: extasy is not
very good, and the trainspotting film is over-rated, cos it
doesn't come close to the book. I would recomend "kitchen
confidential" by anthony bourdain (i think thats right)
which i read a few weeks ago, fuckin wicked, i absolutely
devoured that book.

Yes I also had to read "Maribou Stork" a couple of
times...That book is WAY wicked...

IMO - Filth- still enstills ALL that is Welsh

I just finished Glue and was really disappointed. Filth is
excellent, as is Trainspotting. I intend to read more.

I'm reading Sheepshagger by Niall Griffiths. Its set in
Wales. Its a bit like ?Welsh's stuff but more literary. Its
so beautifully written. I highly recommend it.

His first novel is called the Grits which I intend to check
out.

Ian Banks has written some shit though. Complicity and the
Wasp Factory are good but the other stuff I've read was
boring.

I think I've asked you this before but do you all say
"ken"?

I'm Welsh but have never spoken to Tom Jones. I have spoken
to my parents though and they're Welsh.
