the constant electro/acid sets

ok the radio is a very nice thing.(thanks phob!) the only
thing buggin me a bit is the lack of diversity on it. (or
I'm tuning in on the wrong moments). how about some techno?
breakbeat? house? chiptune music? jazz? dub? .....I know all
you idm-ers like electro and acid now that aphex started
doing this whole analogue stuff again. but there is only so
much X0X I can take. how about some kind of scedule? like
mondays we'll have techno (in the broad sense of the word)
and tuesdays we'll have electro and so on and so on.

yeah i think some diversity wouldn't go amiss

once i've moved out i'd love to do a "redrum goes spastic"
eclectic hour. i don't think it'd happen, but i'd still love
to read people's reactions to going from some mad
soundmurderer to some cool 50s jazz to a movement from a
haydn string quartet to some be-bop.

won't happen :(

It's still early days isn't it? I think it's just getting
started.

It does seem that its been dominately electro and acid. I
myself love dub, minimal and ambient. It was cool to see
Ryoji Ikeda in there the other day. Thats a name i thought
i'd never see.

Plus I am quite happy with this, I think there's loads of
other radio stations where you can hear ... you know,
whatever. But you don't hear enough of the classics like I
have here at XLT lately.

mainly elektro when no guests are there but there's many
aphex and ae and i don't remember what else that's been
played too

since it is planned to be on 24/7 it's due to touch all
points of the spectrum eventually

i think it'll be great for the musical range of the
community

not to be a goober, but i'm a bit tired of the handful of
groups that get discussed here extensively

I'm glad you are healty again!

We would've had a huge electro overload, if you were ill for
a week or 2. ;)

A little top 40 sprinkled in wouldn't hurt either.

ambient, techno, trance, industrial, dnb, electro and hXc!

i wouldn't mind dj's as long as they didn't try to mc.

and sets would be ok, kinda like how college radio stations
out here, do their programming, w/diff "shows".

just ideas, i don't really care, since i am not the one
responsible for such... just happy to have it in the first
place.

of course EVERYONE wants to play thier shit,
is it possible? doubtful. would it actually be fair?
hardly. so stfu already.
