the lens is very good. supposedly the best at what it does,
aside from the heavy and expensive f/2.8 versions.

everything about it seems to be excellent.. image quality,
autofocus speed, build quality, zoom and focus controls..
very enjoyable to use. it doesn't let me down like the s1's
lens used to.

now i just need a wide angle lens...

i agree..... canon 70-200 is wonderful (i have the 2.8
model) and can't live w/o it.
