should b12 return?

after witnessing one of the most amazing acid electro live
sets we have ever, ever seen (b12 @ norberg) we are
trying to persuade the boys to restart b12 recs, and release
their new material...and maybe repress some of those old,
ultrarare clasasics...

they have been gone a while, and it seems that a lot of
electronic music has forgotten the lessons of beautiful,
simple, and uplifting electronics.

is now the right time? or have they been gone too long?

*FAINTS*

If you've got their fucking phone number or email I
will
CONVINCE them. If ANYONE, ANYONE needs to

a). Release new records
b). Make their old records available

... it is B12

*FAINTS AGAIN*

well, i shall de-faint-ently pass on your enthusiastic
comments, mr gay dad...

i've played a few gigs with them over the last couple of
months and they are two of the nicest chaps i've met in
music.

if youre in london, uk, theyre playing at the
delta 9 bash on friday...its only a fiver in as
well...

Have you really got their ear, Seed? What are they up to?
How come they're playing live again? Electro(Soma) is in my
Top 3 Records of ALL TIME, Prelude (pt 1) in my Top 2, Time
Tourist in my TOP 5. Fuck.... tell them, make their bloody
stupid limited to 8 copies CLASSIC 12"s all available in a
box set of both CD and vinyl and to MAKE NEW MUSIC. I like
the classic B12 sound, I liked the different direction that
3ep hinted at, but I think they should stick to what the do
best, futuristic, gleaming, pristine detroit tinged electro
soul, pure B12. Bastards, and if they want their website
redoing after 10 odd years I'm their man.

we managed to persuade them out of hiding for our last tube
party, to play alongside the orb, john peel and coil...our
heroes and inifluences...sadly peel passed away 2 weeks
before the gig, then we were suddenly cancelled by london
underground, which inadvertantly led to john balances death,
and the collapse of seed records (which we have been
fighting ever since)

however, they agreed to play at the wheels instead of hooves
bash in march we were co-hosting, alongside a skam showcase,
vibert, ceephax, plaid, etc...and they completely stole the
show. security had to close the doors of the room they were
playing in because it was so rammed...

since then they have played, with us (posthuman), 5 other
gigs, aand been refining their old sound to new hardware,
and writing a load of new stuff, which i can tell you is
fucking amazing...

they are donating (as redcell) a track to our ultra-limited,
hand numbered 4 part release later this summer, and are also
booked to play the acid-on-thames boat party in london later
this month...

if they have new material, why wouldn't they want to release
it?

And you'll be putting me, dog_belch@hotmail.com , on the
Special Priority Ordering mailing list for your ultra
limited, hand numbered 4 part release, won't you?

I'm not, sadly, in London, nor the UK, but if you have any
recordings of live stuff you can safely give it to me
because twice, TWICE I went specially to see them back in
the day 97, 98, ohh what's that place in Islington, then
once at the old Warp Blech nights, and both times they
pulled out. So they OWE ME.

They played recently at Jack's (London Bridge). The gig was
called "The Poke".

They also played at electrowerks a while back, I think last
summer, and it was their first plying in the uk for some
time.

They are really good and yes, they should come back.

I did actually write to Mike somewhere else on the WEBZOID
today saying that I hope they get round to releasing
something new, or even something old, so YES, sound advice.

no they shouldn't release anything!!!! they should be
bootleg-slapped all over the place for still not having
released anything of their new work.

anybody know of some recordings of their recent shows?

seed, good luck with talking some sense into those guys

I'm sure the one at electrowerks was recorded; even Aphex
went as a spectator to see them, it was funny seeing him
play on the SNES.

I didn't see anyone recording their live performance at
Jacks The Poke, but there may have been sombody.
