i do to..but it's just something i listen to as opposed to
something that i find really intriguing - either simply
because of what it sounds like (in most cases) or because
there's some story behind it..

so, what music you find intriguing atm?

for me it's very minimalistc type of music atm; zelle,
maikko, the user,...then industrial, specifically throbbing
gristle. i like earth a lot..music concrete, dark ambient...

The music I find intrriguing is by the likes of say Iron
Maiden orr some otherr band frrom the past that arre on
1000s of T-shirrts and posterrs. I'm intrriguing by bands
that seemed to pass me by, bands that everryone else seems
to rrememberr but I don't even know the name of. I guess I'm
morre currious. It doesn't mean they arre any good.

i'm mostly intrigued by music that was made before i was
born. the 50s & 60s feature heavily.

sometimes I listen to some Keziah Jones (funk)
or some detroit techno, or some house, sometimes I'm in the
mood for some straightforward d&b. but I'm also into the
minimal thing. but that the glitchy minimal things. that's
just stupid. (imo)
I like mithel akiyama, julien Neto, mokira,...

I also very much enjoy "simple" piano solos. like Gonzales
or
Leszek mozdzer or something like that.

i don't know. i used to love music more earlier, now i just
put the music folder into one beeg shuffled playlist and
listen to it from another room, washing dishes. Last styles
i liked were musique concrete, power noise, then simple
melodic pieces (piano)

im runing out of time for everything i'd like to hear..one
of the reasons why i hang out on xltronic so much is so i
can listen to music..i can't do anything else while
listening to music really..can't read as i can't be focused
on two things like that at the same time...

i have started to give up with the whole music thing. It has
held me back financially all my life.

From now on, one album per month is my limit. All my other
spare cash (which i dont have any of anyway) is going into a
savings account.

i think for me i am really intriqued by things that seem
exist in their own vacuum; stuff that has it's own very
special feeling. i think i really get caught up in the magic
of how something sounds and the actual physical
characteristics of the sound itself.

it is really quite difficult to define in some ways. i guess
you could say i am intriqued by sound in general; it really
could be any sound at all.

p.s. sorry about the syntax my comma key dosen't work : (

nicely put...it's mostly about sound for me as well..which
seems a bit odd to some people..

i think it comes from having to mix/engineer my tracks. it
opened a really big can of worms.

hiphop. it incorporates all other musical styles (you can
sample any music and incorporate it in a hiphop track).

I guess right now I'm mostly into contemporary classical,
stuff like Arvo Part, who has pretty much become one of my
top 5 artists ever, Alfred Schnittke, who's also mindbending
and isn't far behind, and Luciano Berio. And Gothic stuff in
the neoclassical and industrial style like Asmorod, Qntal,
Haus Arafna and November Novelet. Too much fun, I haven't
worked or gone to school in a long time, it's just music all
day every day now, I guess my life is all downhill from
here!

its funny and kind of predictable, but i really only am into
electronic music atm,

as for other types of music, 70's and 80's music for rock
and alternative or whatever
some synthy poppy 80's stuff

but not really anything rock or metal or pop from now or
current music (read non-electronic)
