lol. I think you mean room mates to be. I'm still at home
doing A levels. I'm one year off going uni and thus having
room mates.

Olive oil is great for cooking and re-cooking as it is
almost 100% poly-unsaturated meaning it is very stable under
heat and its structure won't break down after further
heating (ie no loss of the multiple double-bonds which would
lead to an increase in the likelyhood of it becoming
saturated).

You shouldn't re-heat/heat at a high temp mono-unsaturated
oils such as sesame seed oil due to them becoming unstable
at high heat.

Olive Oil is great for shallow fried potAtatoes(the best in
my opinion), my only complaint was that you said "all the
other types of oil are bad for you"
which isn't true at
all, any vegetable oil is hundreds of times better that any
animal derived fats.

typical "unfathomable" curriculum crap. Food is an art NOT a
science. More popular dishes have been made via accidents of
adding wrong amounts, than any other way, plus, everybody's
tastebuds are different. It's like we have to worship the
curriculum and never question its ruling.

thats definitely true. the purpose of my couse though is to
make me employable in the industry, so ill keep my own
recipes going as a hobby for the time being :)

lol. I suppose it's the only fair way at the moment to get a
job, I mean how can you be objective over imagination?,
however with a curriculum it's easier to be objective and
have less shades of grey between "pass" or "fail".

Anyway I'm sure you'll use this thread and XLT as an outlet
for your creations.
