man i had a bad trip at glastonbury one year - the rain! the
rain! and some bastards broke into our rented gold peugeot
205 and stole the stereo! and i didn't have a change of
clothes! one of my friends went AWOL after too many Es! i
had to drive all the way to the north east coast of scotland
with NO sounds and some girl who wanted my muddy body!! 9am
in some yorkshire town i had to go into a bank with no shoes
and caked in mud so i could money for petrol!!

oh the horror!

I have only camped at one Glasto and since then I have
always stayed in hotels. Bath is really good because you can
be in a warm hotel room in three quarters of an hour and if
you look for a unhappy looking pretty girl the words "Hotel
Room" are great knicker greese!!!

the point of an outdoors festival is that you camp there!
how do you become the experience if, like some greasy
journalist, you retire to your hotal suite with some poor
slut with a brain-frazzled morality?

the shame!

I don't like being wet and cold and last time Trent Reznor
was in the same hotel as me and he bought me a brandy!!

Oh well. I am going to both (if i have the energy and money)
so the chances are that if he plays at A festival, i'll see
him. Thats if.

The annoying thing is the line up isnt announced for glasto
untill its sold out. Which is annoying.

Glasto this year is gonna be a disaster i think, the end of
what used to be a fantastic place, there's gonna be a
gathering of everyone who usually bunks in, 2 ears ago they
reckoned 100,000 people bunked in, if them people gather
outside the place it's gonna be nuts, all the gangs who
usually operate are gonna be looking to other ways to make
their money, i dont know, something bad is gonna happen,
i've got a feelin.

my best glasto: 1992 Saturday night, nme stage, 808 state,
the Shamen, Primal Scream then The Orb, then found the party
that Underworld put on in the back feilds, an amazing
allnighter, then after that spaced out in the Sugarlump tent
where they played the whole of Apollo by Brian Eno, a truly
religious and unforgetable night and day.

aphex and autechre played the Glade in 99 or 00 didn't
they?(shit, cant even remember and i was there:) the last
flood anyway) everyone who played the Glade wasn't on any
lineup for the festival i think, all secrets and hush hush,
it was a tiny little place behind the NME feild.
