This topic refers to yesterdays settlement regarding Sony
BMG's practice of paying radio station employees money to
play Sony BMG artists on the radio.

I guess this doesn't effect me very much on grounds that I
never, ever listen to the radio. It's nothing I have against
FM waves, but rather that I have too many good cd's to be
wasting time listening to commercials. :)

I only listen to german opera and classical music on the
radio, but very rarely do I ever listen to the radio.

FUN FACT: I initially spelled "opera" "oprah," wouldn't that
have been a riot; german oprah. Absurd!

If you look in HMV. All the idiots that have prominent space
in the rock/indie/dance sections. That's paid for.

Not really. Radio 1 is a sham. if you've got a few grand to
spare for promotion you'll make the c-list guaranteed.
That's 10,000 english pounds for a few plays

I'm relieved that people have better taste than playlists
would indicate. Only big money can make music that bad.

yeah, dunno if its captiol, but where i live the local
stations are severn sound(gloucester), CAT FM (cheltenham &
tewkesbury) & Wyvern FM. after daytime hours they all have
identical playlists, which you can scan across the fm
spectrum and get the same song being played at the same time
on 3 different stations. fucking terrible
