What are the best budget-ish headphones out there. I will
be using them mainly for listening to my iPod.

Suggestions please

i use Koss Porta Pro, they may be a bit expensive compared
to some others but they have lifetime warranty and i'm very
happy with them.

i love my koss pro33's because theyre big and shiny and have
a unlimited lifetime warrantee (ive broken them twice so far
and recieved replacements within like 3 or 4 weeks each
time)

I had those but they broke after a couple of months. Shame.

I now just get cheap ones for the pod. The lifetime
guarantee on those Koss ones is extremely generous though, I
have been tempted by them several times.

the "best"" budget" headphones are the ones that you can
afford

best "budget" Sony ones are the MDR-V300 dynamic stero
headphones, only cost about £35 and are really decent ;)

Whatever you get, get Sennheisers.
Overheads:
Sennheiser HD-443, you should be able to get them for less
than £20. Robust as anything and they urinate on anything
else in the price range for sound quality.

In-ear:
MX-500 (Should be able to get them for under £20 and unless
you want to pay silly money for top of the line custom Shure
ones, they're amongst the best in-ear phones I've used).

Drunken Mastah: You are correct, Sennheiser HD-25 'phones
are great (frquency response = flatter than holland),
fantastic for DJing, but they're not the best for with
portable devices, nor are they particularly cheap.

well, not cheap, maybe, but they do rock with
portable stuff.. maybe there's a hd-25-1 or something.. I
seem to remember something about that...
