OMGHI2U! 's a new exquisite corpse, and because I want to participate, but am still at my parents' place, todays theme will be: no "real" instruments, and that includes computers and softsynths and all that. it's time to bring out the mics and freshen up the beatboxing skills while bringing pots and pans and something to bang on them with in from the kitchen. because non-instrumental sounds are very percussive, today will have two drumlines and no accompagniement. you may pitch and cut and fuck with what you've recorded, but it's nicer if you can somehow tune it normally (for instance with bowls, you can fill them with water to tune them no matter how you choose to play on them. paper can be stretched and blabla, but you all can probably figure it out anyway). Voice can be used even though it is a conventional "instrument." What is this? Well.. I had this idea.. get several music-makers together and make a track. Each will make their part (one to bass, one to melody, and so-on) without listening to the others' part. A BPM and maybe a theme or scale is decided beforehand, and when everyone is finished, it is mixed by one of the participants or preferrably a person that only does mix. The general idea for the tracks is that they're supposed to be as spontaneous as possible, which means it would be preferrable for them to be done within an hour or two (including the process of getting artists), so don't sign up unless you have the time. no links to parts in the thread please setting a key for this would be pretty much useless, so the mixer will just have to do what he feels is right when he gets the stuff. a bpm on the other hand should work due to the existence of cut'n'paste and metronomes and banging on stuff is only fun when it's fast!
