I think Gob Beldof was/is more of a troll, as is gay_dad, and those are two regulars of this board - but they're still free to roam and spread their negative hatred... I've seen Steedie's enthusiasm, I've seen no trolling. |

well dog_belch had to start a new account because the dog_belch account no longer exists and he is no different than he was under the dog_belch name...I'm not sure about the gob one because I don't recall seeing any posts. observations are good though. |

I certainly don't remember dog_belch being as aggressively bad-tempered -- he always struck me as being quite chilled and laconic. I know pete likes to exorcise his demons, but I thought he might have conquered them by now. Maybe because I've been away for a bit and come back the differences are more striking to me - sometimes, they say, the best way to see something is so step away from it. |

You are right...it's because you have been away. I have been a lot busier recently and not posted much during the week, then when I come on of a weekend I get pissed off at the mundane time wasting, boring posts and negativity (which I am sometimes a part of) which seem to overrun the board. |

Nah man he's different than before - there's a vitriol that's can't be hidden. But if you all insist that he's exactly the same as he ever was then OK. But yes, Steedie is a newbie and we were all newbies and some people take longer than others to settle into the XLT way of life... I don't say he'll be liked or that he'll be here for more than a week, but I say lay off him a bit - he seems OK to me... there are plenty members who start a zillion threads per day and who spam/have spammed their music a few times a day, especially when newbies because they are excited to find this place. I thought one of the things we had over WATMM was that we weren't so hostile. |
