Well, it's not exactly the promised "late 2003", but it's
here at last.

"Alice In Ultraland"
01. The Emptiness Of Nothingness
02. The Witchfinder
03. The Witch Hunt
04. All Is Harvest
05. The Prophet
06. Indian Swing
07. The Seasons Turn
08. High & Dry
09. Yes My Brother (You've Gotta Turn Yourself Around)
10. In The Summertime Of Consciousness
11. Billy The Onion
12. Another Fairy Tale Ending
13. The World Is Full Of Plankton
14. The Wicker Doll

The next album from Dougans and Cobain are releasing is
another Amorphous Androgynous album, thus making AA an
on-going project. The album started with further work on
some music from The Isness sessions, although the three-year
gap suggests there's a large amount of new material
recorded. The tracks are also expectded to be in a slightly
darker, funkier vein, possibly less playful and more
spiritual than some of The Isness. Alice In Ultraland was
one of the prospective titles for The Isness in the late
'90s. The band are ressurecting the legendary Harvest
imprint on the EMI label, famed for releasing psychedelic
classics by Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett in the late '60s and
early '70s, to release the record. The album will be out in
September 2005, hopefully on the 26th.

Oh, and they're working on a new Future Sound Of London
album, too, in case you're one of those who detested The
Isness.

Woo.

Is this new AA album a cobain/dougans project, or just the
work of cobain? I can't help but sense they both want to
move in different directions...

Dougans is very involved in the project, some of the pieces
are actually composed entirely by him, and apparently the
idea of it all being a Cobain-led project is not a popular
one around The Galaxial Pharmaceutical.
The FSOL one is um. A couple of years away, I reckon. It's
all very much in the air, but they want people to know it's
coming. http://www.futuresoundoflondon.com
http://www.futuresoundoflondon.fsnet.co.uk are the only
links you'll ever need. Not being big headed or anything,
y'know.

You know, I really liked the Issness studio demo that got
leaked about six months before release. When the actual
album came out, I found the lyrics had too much hippy
pretention, although the production was fantastic. I want
something like it that doesn't go "love love love and all
the love everywhere is love love love".

We don't yet have any clues as to how many 'songs' there'll
be on this album, if any. They were actually my favourite
tracks on The Isness. Haha.

Swedish radio statio P3 played last year's Arvika gig
tonight. Most of the new tracks from Alice In Ultraland were
super-funky, and not all that much like The Isness other
than The Lovers Elysian Feels and Guru Song, I suppose. Less
sitars and more wah-wah guitar and organ. Except one track
(originally entitled Good Love, no idea what it's been
renamed to) which sounded like a direct cut from Led Zep
III.
This is going to be a very interesting release.

The "edited & enhanced" seems to be the better one there.
Pretty rad.
