I bought the double disc Slanted & Enchanted last year -- it
is fantastic -- does this mean they have got around to
releasing a double-disc Crooked Rain Crooked Rain? What are
the extras?

yes they have! : )
check the website, there's full info there. mostly b-sides
and early versions; no live this time, but great stuff.

(and for the record, the first disc of it runs at 80:00...!)

The double-disc slanted and enchanted is one of the best
buys i ever made. Fucking awesome album. I think
"greenlander" is my favourite.

i've got both too !
the packagings are awesome !! you really understand what
DELUXE means =D

now let's talk about the music : i like both albums but i'm
not a big fan ; i think there's too much of a funny
atmosphere in their songs, whereas i prefer strange or dark
ambiences ; for instance Sonic Youth or Ride make music that
has more mood

nevertheless imo pavement sounds a bit like nirvana (but i
don't like nirvana ; maybe it's becuz i heard TOO MUCH from
them when i was young)

Greenlander is a fantastic song, I agree, Alex... I also
love Baptiss Blacktick - a great exuberant anarchistic feel
on that song. the other versions of Here are fab also.

I don't think Pavement sound anything like Nirvana - they
are more literate, fractured, experimental, joyful and
uplifting in my opinion - the velvet underground of the 90s

yeah the lyrics aren't the same _ but the music is a bit
similar no ?

i have to say I don't think they are, but the only Nirvana
album I can stand to listen to is Nevermind.

uzim, I know its been said before but:

1) pavement rocks

2) your avatar is fucking beautiful, any chance I could get
you to animate a pic of mine with colors like that? I would
compensate you with a digtial handjob

Zephyr Twin: yeah, if you want... it's pretty easy to do : )

if I were to pick a pic, would you then be able to animate
it like that? or would the pic have to be of your choosing?
I'll take what ever I can get. :D

Also, if you want to bask in the glory of being the only
person with an avatar like that, then I'll wait to use mine
until you get tired of it.

hahahaa :)

i can "rainbow"-animate any picture i guess; but if the pic
is too detailed it might end up with some "noise" on the
picture due to .gif compression. i can animate just some
parts of it too.

anyway just send it to me : )
my msn adress is in my profile.

Snap!, except your avatar is more crafty and phychodelic
than mine. :P
