Otto von Schirach. At least live.

some of frank zappa's stuff, because it's so bizarre (be-bop
tango, for example, nice weird melodies in that)

white stripes (they're great! and inaccessible! that's why
they're so popular, because they're inaccessible!)

some squarepusher. gotta keep listening to it before it'll
sound so so sweet

how can i like music that i find inaccessible? that is a
really difficult question for me to answer.

i find noise music inaccessible. at the same time i don't
like it, either.

I don't get it. Inaccessible to you? or to other people?
And how can you like it if you can't access it.

if i like it it's accessible to me. if i cant listen to it
for a longer period of time, then because it does bore me.

i dont think btw that accesibility has something to do with
complexity of music. it's whether you feel it or not. i find
john cage totally listenable for example, but i dont get the
beatles at all.

I dunno. Probably some sort of Goth industrial collage music
or something. Rasthof Dachau, early Current 93, Asmorod,
Blood Axis, Ordo Equilibrio, etc. That stuff puts me in the
weirdest mood and tends to disturb the people around me more
than pure noise or musique concrete and stuff.

well, i listen to free jazz and noise and things like that
all the time, so the typical things that people might think
are inaccessible are really enjoyable to me. on the other
hand, commercial pop can sometimes make me literally
nauseous - i can't stand it.

i guess what you're looking for in this thread is "the least
accessible music that you enjoy"... that's kind of
difficult to answer. maybe some of coil's more
drone-oriented music. i don't know.

It's a good question, though I guess there's some stuff I
can just barely access and grasp but I still enjoy it. I
dunno, too much confusion, ultimately not really a question
worth thinking about for me.

Yeah if you literally can't access it, I guess you can't
like it, yes.

The word Access makes me think of Pat O'Brien.

that's not the subject of the thread though. don't you
enjoy music to different degrees? and you find music
accessible to different degree? the question is: of the
music you do like, which is the music that is least
accessible?

but accessible to whom??? is the question basically "which
of your music do you like the most but would be the least
accessible to the general masses who have never heard it
before?"

I guess I just don't fully understand this concept of
accessibility as it applies to music.

you can't i suppose..that wasn't what i asked though.

what's the music you can enjoy, but find it hard to listen
to for a longer time, or perhaps something you need to be in
proper mood for because it's difficult to listen to, but you
still find something intriguing about it?

im just having trouble understand how music I have heard

accessible to YOU personally. and it's not "INaccessible"
it's the LEAST accessible.

ohh, I think I see what you mean now... in that case it
would probably be autechre... I like some of their music and
I get the impression that they are talented, but for the
most part I can't listen to it unless I'm in the right mood.

Yeah the topic title is a bit misleading. ''which
of your music do you like the most but would be the least
accessible to the general masses who have never heard it
before?" that's indeed what he meant.

''Accessibility'' as it applies to music is weird anyway.
Lots of different applications. I just listed whatever it is
that weirds out the people I know most and has the least
fans that I've talked to personally.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...

:-o

Well one or two of my posts still sort of stands I guess,
the stuff other people have trouble accessing, I find quite
abstract and weird too. But yeah, this ''accessibility''
stuff is always confusing.
