RE: Windows mp3 preview

My Girlfriend just updated her windows and that little
preview thing to the left inside a window when you have
music files changed - now, whenever you click on an mp3 file
the whole system slows right down and you can't type
anything for about 3 seconds while the PLAY buttons becomes
black, indicating you can preview the file. This is
extremely annoying when trying to rename files or even
scrolling and you happen to click once on a file.

Has anyone else experienced this of late.

BTW it isn't a shitty system.

Change to windows 'classic' view tbh. Get work done much
quicker without all that fancy windowdressing (literally)

ta - should've thought of that myself but I must have been
too irate ;)

No problem! I actually didn't think my suggestion would be
accepted - a lot of people love that crap that their
explorer windows are decorated with.. especially if they're
accustomed to using a pc with it enabled

I just can't stand the shit, so i thought i'd chance my
arm.

hate that 'personalized menus' shite as well.. grrr. ;P

Agreed. Simple is better. At least you can see how your
folders are organized in the computer.

It is my gf's pc and her settings but I'm sure she won't
mind since it will stop the annoyance :)

also turn off all XP 'special effects' (windows fading
instead of just disappearing when closing them) - saves
CPU.

turning off all sounds (which are annoying anyway) also
helps.

not the case.
